FYI, Department Members:

An attempted laptop theft in the Molecular Sciences Building (MIMG Wing) by an unknown person.  Laptop was cable locked which prevented the immediate loss. Attached please see the lock that is bent. Please continue to keep your doors locked when you are not in your offices and labs, keep valuables out of sight at all times to the extent possible. Report any suspicious activity to UCPD at 310-825-1491.
