[IGPP Everyone] [EPSS Everyone] Mailroom changes next week - please read

Dear Everyone,

We are planning to update the mailbox assignments in the mailroom AND make some changes to make mail sorting easier. These updates will be completed next Wednesday morning, June 7.  Attached is a revised list of mailbox assignments, and here are the significant changes and things to note:


·         Almost everyone’s mailbox location will change – some slightly (up or down in the same or nearby column); others more significantly (across the room) so PLEASE CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE PICKING UP YOUR MAIL NEXT WEDNESDAY!

·         Faculty mailboxes will remain on the EAST wall

o   Faculty (current and emeriti) will have individual boxes, and some groups will have large boxes (as needed)

o   Leftover large boxes will be used for oversize packages and mass mailings

·         Researchers and Postdocs sections will start on the EAST wall and spill over to the WEST wall

o   Some folks currently receive mail as part of a faculty group or sorted with the 2nd or 6th floor mailboxes, and will continue to do so

·         Graduate Students section will be moved to the NORTH wall

o   Large boxes will be used for TAs and will be labeled with current class offerings (to be changed each quarter)

·         Undergraduate Students will have group boxes on the NORTH wall

·         Most Administrative Staff mail is delivered to individual offices

·         Most Research & Technical Staff mail is included with faculty group boxes and/or sorted with mail delivered to the 2nd or 6th floor mailboxes.

 Again, please review the attached list of new mailbox assignments and let me know right away if you have any questions or concerns.
