[IGPP Everyone] Michelle Obama on campus Wed, 5/1

Dear Everyone,

Please expect a significant increase in traffic and possible delays on/around campus mid-day tomorrow, Wed, 5/1 as former First Lady Michelle Obama will be at UCLA to headline College Signing Day, with UCLA hosting 7,000 high school students for the event. Her keynote speech is scheduled between 11am and 1:30pm at Pauley Pavilion.

Over 200 buses will be dropping off and picking up the students, and there will be limited and short road closures to facilitate the arrival and departure of Mrs. Obama and her US Secret Service led motorcade.  Campus partners do not expect severe impacts on traffic or patient/employee access to the health system;  however, OEP and Security will be monitoring the situation with UCLA Police, Traffic and Parking Enforcement, and LA DOT.
