1. 2016 GEM-CEDAR: Call for Participation in the Geospace Systems Science (GSS) Sessions at GEM
------------------------------------------------------------
From: Joe Borovsky (jborovsky at spacescience.org)

Call for participation in the Geospace Systems Science (GSS) sessions at GEM.

At the GEM Summer Workshop the Geospace Systems Science focus group will hold two sessions:

Tuesday 13;30:15:30
“Driver Geoeffectiveness and Geospace System Response”
One focus of this session will be on the anomalous geomagnetic storms that Delores Knipp has identified wherein nitric oxide is overproduced in the thermosphere. Other discussions of the driving and reaction of the magnetosphere-ionosphere system are hereby called for.

Wednesday 13:30-15:30
“System Behavior and System Tools”
In this session discussions of the properties of the geospace system and subsystems will be held, along with discussions of methodologies.

Wednesday A.M. GSS Tutorial Speaker
Jim Smith, Los Alamos National Laboratory

To get on the list of speakers for the two sessions, contact Joe at jborovsky at spacescience.org
