MEETING: URSI Asia Pacific Radio Science Conference (URSI AP-RASC), March 09–15, 2019, New Delhi, India, Abstract Submission Deadline, October 15, 2018

The URSI Asia Pacific Radio Science Conference (URSI AP-RASC) is one of the URSI flagship conferences besides the triennial URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium and the triennial AT-RASC conference. The deadline of the paper submission is October 15, 2018. The full details can be found at http://aprasc2019.com/

At the occasion of AP-RASC 2019, Young Scientists Awards will be set up to assist young scientists to attend the conference. Student Paper Competition will be held and the prizes will be awarded to the winners with certificates and checks during the meeting. 

The AP-RASC will have an open scientific program covered by ten Commissions of URSI, two of which are closely related to the SPA community. The special sessions in Commission H and G are listed below, and the full program is listed http://aprasc2019.com/call-for-papers/.

MEETING: 2019 6th International Conference on Space Science and Communication (IconSpace 2019)

Space Science Centre (ANGKASA), Institute of Climate Change of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) will host the 2019 6th International Conference on Space Science and Communication (IconSpace2019) (http://www.ukm.my/iconspace/) at Pulai Springs Resort, Johor, Malaysia 28-30 July 2019. The conference theme is “Advancing Space Science for Societal Sustainability” and is co-sponsored by IEEE through IEEE Malaysia Young Professional.
We are soliciting original papers describing the state-of-the-art research and development inclusive (but are not limited to) of the following technical areas:

· Astronomy and Astrophysics
· Atmospheric and Magnetospheric Sciences
· Geosciences and Remote Sensing
· Satellite and Communication Technology
· Interdisciplinary Space Science

JOB OPENING: Multiple Job Openings at Southwest Research Institute

The Department of Space Research of the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas seeks candidates for positions at the postdoctoral researcher, research scientist and senior or principal research scientist levels in Heliospheric Physics. The selected candidate is expected to carry out original research addressing the origin and acceleration of energetic particles in the interplanetary medium. Research will focus on the analysis of suprathermal and energetic particle, as well as magnetic field and solar wind plasma data from the Wind, ACE, and STEREO, and Parker Solar Probe missions and will involve interactions with Institute Staff engaged in a broad range of observational, computational, and theoretical research in the physics of the solar wind and suprathermal and energetic particles. Propose and lead relevant scientific investigations in data analysis and modeling and publish results in peer-reviewed scientific journals, present results at scientific meetings, workshops, and conferences. Research will involve interactions with Institute Staff engaged in a broad range of observational, computational, and theoretical research in the physics of the solar wind and suprathermal and energetic particles.
