AGU Fall Meeting Town Hall - Raising Awareness on Mental Health in the Earth and Space Sciences

During the AGU Fall Meeting, on Monday the 11th of December at 1 pm (PT), please join us for a town hall on “Raising Awareness on Mental Health in the Earth and Space Sciences”. This will be an hour-long session with five invited speakers sharing their own perspectives on this important topic, and engaging in a conversation with the public.

(Updated) GDC Town Hall at AGU Dec 15 1-2 PST

At this year's AGU Fall meeting in San Francisco, there will be a Geospace Dynamics Constellation Town Hall, seesion TH53A

Time: session TH53A, 1-2 PM Pacific time Friday Dec 15.

Location:  2010 – West (Level 2, West, MC)

The GDC team will provide an update on current status of the mission and there will be time for Q&A and discussion. There will be a chance to submit questions ahead of time (via https://gsfc.cnf.io/sessions/t492/#!/dashboard) for those interested, and also we will take questions from the floor.

SESSION: Mini-GEM COMP Session

We would like to invite you to join the Mini-GEM session on COmparative planetary Magnetospheric Processes (COMP) at the upcoming workshop in San Francisco. Here are some additional details:

When: December 10th, 2023, from 12:00 to 15:15 US Pacific Time
Where: Washington + California Rooms at the Holiday Inn San Francisco – Golden Gateway

Format: Mixture of presentations & open discussions with remote participation available. Zoom information will be available via the GEM website. Don’t forget to register! 

The FG leads will first discuss our main findings from the summer GEM workshop followed by a summary of recent activities and what to expect for the upcoming summer GEM workshop. If you would like to share a brief 3-4 slide presentation then please email the FG leads (George.Clark at jhuapl.edu; wenli77 at bu.edu) by Dec 8. Note that due to the time constraints for this meeting, it may be the case that not everyone will be able to present.

Upcoming Deadline for NASA Heliophysics Citizen Science ROSES Opportunity

NASA’s Heliophysics Division would like to bring to the community’s attention the upcoming submission deadline for F.9 Citizen Science Seed Funding Program (CSSFP). Proposals are due January 24, 2024.

I am pleased to invite you to respond to the call for expressions of interest to become a member of the Astronomy Working Group (AWG)/Solar System and Exploration Working Group (SSEWG) and/or Space Science Advisory Committee (SSAC).

This call is  open to all scientists affiliated with institutions in the ESA Member States.
