[W6YRA] 448.540 back again!

Greetings,
I was able to get in to the repeater very well from my base station at home:
iCOM IC-2820H, Diamond X700HNA mounted on a one-story roof at Venice and Centinela, using the mid-power setting. This is significant because I’m typically shaded from the repeater by Mar Vista hill.
I had full bars on my S-meter, minus one, and the audio was clear despite underlying interference from the other repeater on the frequency.

Guyed the tripod down, and it is a different, higher gain, antenna (CA-712EF) due to coax/connector/adapter shenanigans. Probably for the best though since the X50A is in rough shape and I don't expect my duck-tape and plastic splint to last very long anyway.
New signal reports & activity is most appreciated.

NX1U

Well that was short lived...
Wind knocked the tripod over and snapped the antenna. I have a rope and some duct tape and just need to find the guy ring to tie it all down. I'll let you know when it's back on the air.

5W, TH-F6A, rubber-duck...
South-bound 405 runs just about as you'd expect - nary a peep until you
begin to round the hills a bit just north of Getty Center. Fantastic
signal at 405/Sunset.
Even better - it looks like I've got a usable path from my Faraday-cage
of an office on the ground-floor of PAB... so I should be able to
monitor and jump-in in-between my regularly-scheduled events...
Great work!
