Guyed the tripod down, and it is a different, higher gain, antenna (CA-712EF) due to coax/connector/adapter shenanigans. Probably for the best though since the X50A is in rough shape and I don't expect my duck-tape and plastic splint to last very long anyway.

New signal reports & activity is most appreciated.

Well that was short lived...

Wind knocked the tripod over and snapped the antenna. I have a rope and some duct tape and just need to find the guy ring to tie it all down. I'll let you know when it's back on the air.

5W, TH-F6A, rubber-duck...

South-bound 405 runs just about as you'd expect - nary a peep until you
begin to round the hills a bit just north of Getty Center. Fantastic
signal at 405/Sunset.

Even better - it looks like I've got a usable path from my Faraday-cage
of an office on the ground-floor of PAB... so I should be able to
monitor and jump-in in-between my regularly-scheduled events...

Great work!

73 all... //Brent wy6s
