1. Reminder: Juno Participating Scientist Program Step-1 Due Date
------------------------------------------------------------
From: Jared Leisner (jared.s.leisner at nasa.gov)

NASA Heliophysics Division is collaborating with the Planetary Science Division on the Juno Participating Scientist Program (PSP). This competition will add science team members to the Juno mission, currently orbiting Jupiter. The Heliophysics Division strongly encourages the proposal of projects that adapt capabilities, studies, and insights developed at Earth for application at Jupiter.

These projects may be Jupiter-specific or leverage other mission data sets for comparative planetology studies. NASA anticipates proposals on the ITM system, the magnetosphere, and other studies that involve innovative uses of the Juno instrument payload.

The Step-1 due date for this program is March 1, 2018. As this program is being managed primarily by the Planetary Science Division, the rules in C.1 will apply to the solicitation, unless otherwise noted. One significant difference between Heliophysics and Planetary Science ROSES solicitations is the ability to add Co-Is between Steps 1 and 2 (see C.1, Planetary Science Research Overview, Section 2).

The Juno PSP solicitation, as well as a Proposal Information Package that summarizes the mission, may be found on NSPIRES: https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/solicitations/summary!init.do?solId={AC1C72D9-A51A-BEC5-A96E-F57DE7844446}&path=open

Any questions about the solicitation may be sent to Jared Leisner, Heliophysics Division, at the email address in the solicitation.
