Space Weather R2O2R Town Hall, April 12, 2023

From: James Spann, Vic Pizzo, Tzu-Wei Fang (jim.spann at nasa.gov)

On March 29, 2023, the Step-1 and Step-2 proposal due dates for NASA ROSES B.7 Space Weather Science Application Research-to-Operations-to-Research (SWR2O2R) solicitation were deferred to until April 28 and June 28, respectively. This delay is to accommodate a virtual town hall discussion April 12, 2023, hosted jointly by NASA HQ Heliophysics Division and NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC).

This virtual town hall will enable discussion of how the program works and the various steps needed to move a proposed work from the research domain into operational readiness. SWPC will also provide more information on operational needs in various focus areas that would be considered in the proposal selection process.

The town hall will be conducted virtually from 2-4 pm eastern time on April 12th via: meet.google.com/kwe-itqv-fyv. Phone access is: (US) +1 832-856-2084, PIN: 550 278 172#

More information will be released later this week on SWPC’s website at https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/

The NASA point of contact for ROSES B.7 SWR2O2R is Jim Spann (jim.spann at nasa.gov).
The NOAA/SWPC points of contact for the R2O2R Town Hall are Vic Pizzo (vic.pizzo at noaa.gov) and Tzu-Wei Fang (tzu-wei.fang at noaa.gov).
