Abstract Submission Site: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/SUDS2024/

The 1st Annual SUDS Conference is now accepting abstracts. The SUDS Conference is free to attend and will be held in-person in Pasadena, California at the California Institute of Technology from August 21st to 23rd, 2024.

*The deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, May 17th, 2024 at 11:59pm PT. Abstracts will be reviewed on a rolling basis.*

The SUDS mission is “to increase the speed, depth, and rigor of scientific return by revealing new connections through data science."

The objective of the SUDS Conference is to provide an opportunity for students, practitioners, and program managers to share experiences and outcomes from successful collaborations between physical scientists and data scientists, to share best-practices on the development of SUDS programs, and to build a network across organizations for future endeavors.

Abstracts that emphasize data science and physical science collaborations in the following science areas are strongly encouraged: Earth, Planetary, Heliophysics, Space Physics, Astronomy, and Cosmology, especially when incorporating remote sensing observations.

Abstracts are limited to 500 words with one figure and should be no more than one page in length, not including references. Abstract templates may be found on the SUDS Conference Website. Submissions will be prioritized based on submission quality, alignment to the conference science areas, and availability of the selected session(s):
    - Poster only
    - Poster and Lightning Oral (10 min talk, 5 min Q&A)
    - Contributed Oral (20 min talk, 10 min Q&A)
